HOW THE NETWORK WORK

About the Subject

This module is designed in a way that helps to prepare the students for detailed understanding of Computer Network and its’ functioning. The main goal of this module is to develop the students understanding about major Network Concepts and devices. The module is categorized in a way that in the start students will be learning about the Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and Open System Interconnect (OSI) Networking models along with fundamentals of Local Area Network (LAN). Secondly the students will be educated for the roles of network server and their functions. Finally, the students will be encouraged to learn the network mathematics (conversions) and IP address schemes along with sub-netting. The students who will complete this module after passing all the components like quizzes, assignments and/or projects, labs and final exams will become eligible to continue for the next module.
